Real Talk, Real Minds - Mental Health Awareness for Black Women

Explore mental health through the lens of Black women’s experiences in this honest, empowering session with Tobi Omisore-Adepoyigi.

As we recognise Mental Health Awareness Week and World Maternal Mental Health Day this May, join us for Real Talk, Real Minds, a safe and empowering space to explore mental health through the lens of Black women’s experiences.

This session encourages open conversation, understanding, and community support around topics that too often go unspoken.

Together, we will

• Raise awareness of common mental health challenges affecting Black women.

• Explore how culture, identity, and stigma shape attitudes toward mental health.

• Challenge misconceptions and encourage open, honest dialogue.

• Highlight the importance of self-care, community care, and connection.

• Share practical resources and strategies to help Black women prioritise their mental wellbeing.
