Beyond the Label - Understanding Bipolar in Black Women

Join us on World Bipolar Day to explore how culture, stigma & community shape Black women’s mental health With Tobi Omisore-Adepoyigi.

In recognition of World Bipolar Day, join us for a powerful and thought-provoking session that centres the lived experiences of Black women navigating bipolar disorder. Led by Mental Health Practitioner Tobi Omisore-Adepoyigi, this event explores how culture, community, and stigma shape mental health journeys, and how we can collectively challenge misconceptions.

Together, we will:

  • Build understanding of bipolar disorder and its impact on Black women’s wellbeing

  • Explore the role of cultural narratives, communal care, and systemic barriers

  • Challenge myths and promote compassionate, accurate mental health awareness

  • Encourage open, honest conversations to break the silence and reduce stigma

This is more than a mental health talk, it’s a space for reflection, connection, and collective healing. Your mental health matters. Let’s talk about it.
