The TMAF Book Club is a new quarterly gathering for readers who want to explore powerful stories by Black women and diverse authors. Launching on Wednesday 15th October at 7:30pm, our first book will be Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo – a celebrated, award-winning novel that follows the lives of twelve interconnected characters navigating identity, family, love, and womanhood in Britain.
The book club is designed to be more than just a reading group. It’s a safe and welcoming space to:
Share your reflections and connect with others through meaningful conversation.
Explore themes of culture, identity, history, and mental wellbeing that align with TMAF’s mission.
Discover new authors and celebrate literature that speaks to the experiences of Black women and communities.
Enjoy guided discussion questions and informal breakout conversations that encourage everyone to take part.
You don’t need to have finished the book to join – come as you are, listen in, and add your voice if you wish.
